Is coconut good or bad for people who have diabetes?
 
Fairly bad I would think as it has a lot of sugar. Pity that, I love the stuff.

o dear very stupidly thought it would of been okay. Saw it the shop all prepared and thought it would make s nice lunch. Fortunately only had 50g today and the same yesterday. Can't beleive I didnt check the back of the pack.
 
Unsweetened dessicated coconut only contains 7.3g of carbohydrate per 100g. It's fine. And good for you.

But a lot of dessicated cocout has sugar added, which is not finee.

i cant stand it lol, when i was little my uncle used to have them, he brought it from the market he would open it and have the milk from it.ewwww
 
Surprisingly difficult to find nutritional information about fresh coconut in the web.
From memory, it has relatively high fat content, compared to most fruits that are low fat. However, 100g in 2 days isn't much, so I wouldn't worry. I've only eaten coconut from a shell, which doesn't have any nutritional information attached 🙂
 
Fresh coconut is nice Catwoman & Steff honest.

Checked my BG levels and they were fine (for me).......6.8 and hour after and have just checked them again and they had gone up to 7.5.:D
 
No matter what you are a coconut thrown at you hurts!, I have one in the cupboard, might come in handy one day!😛😉
 
You obviously feel very strongly about this Sheena lol:D
