Hi, my husband has recently been diagnosed with tupe 2 and been given glicazide to get his numbers under control. He has completed the form to inform DVLA as per guidance on gov website and now does two hourly glucose monitoring whilst driving. Does anyone have experience with this and what the next steps may look like very worried that he may get license revoked.

Welcome to the forum @Jods1982

I’ve not experienced the hoops you have to jump through personally, but I get the impression that with some medications in the context of Class 2 driving the DVLA may require 2x daily BG results over 90 days, so it may be that your husband needs to build up a history of suitable BG results that demonstrate safety to drive. I get a little confused over which oral meds the DVLA look at closely, and whether the guidance is separate for people on oral meds vs insulin.

I think @Busdriver60 who has just returned to commercial driving after a short break may have some inside knowledge of the situation?
