No you don't 🙂I am currently on 2x 500mg Metformin a day. I am a 7.5t driver. driving on grandad rights. Do I need to inform the DVLA?
Exactly, Sue. So the advice you gave as first reply on thread was absolutely correct, as was chili's. Bet that doesn't stop the discussion, mind😉This info is for lorry drivers https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa...diab1gen-confidential-medical-information.pdf
Bus, coach or lorry licence
You must tell DVLA if your diabetes is treated by tablets or non-insulin injections. You must fill in:
- form VDIAB1SG if your diabetes is treated by sulphonylurea or glinide tablets
- form VDIAB1GEN if your diabetes is treated by any other tablets or non-insulin injections
So which one is metformin? Are you following the links? on the DVLA website itself on the link I provided it says:
VDIAB1GEN is the form Sue has put up the link.
So lorry drivers do have to report their diabetes.
