I'm not sure if I have posted this before, however I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome.. I am really struggling with it. Someone told me acupuncture is good for it. Has anyone on here got it. Any ideas would me much appreciated. Please forgive me if I have posted this before..

Hello @spiritfree

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis :(

Hope you get some good support.

Hi Spiritfree excuse my short answer for the moment but I'm not feeling great. I'm really, really sorry about your CFS diagnosis because I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome six years ago when I was 43. Unfortunately it meant that I couldn't carry on working but CFS affects different people in different ways. I have to do a lot of resting but also manage to have a lot of fun as well. I don't know about acupuncture for CFS but I know that there are a lot of so-called "cures" that take a lot of money from people but the majority of the time don't provide the results. Please post any questions on here and I will do my best to answer them - I'm very good with reading PM's.

I am sorry to hear your diagnose and hope you feel better soon.
I have acupuncture every two months and have had it for ages, I am sure it helps me but no proof! I think you can trust your instincts, whatever feels good to try. Good luck.

Sorry about that. I've always know about this ailment because my Fav footballer had to retire young from playing because of it, Andy Hunt of Charlton, I was devastated (not as much as him)
Good luck.

I’m with NewJourney. It’s well worth trying acupuncture because there is no doubt that it increases endorphins. It will make you feel better, even if it doesn’t turn you into superwoman.

Make sure you get someone skilled to do it. I had acupuncture (in a proper clinic) from a guy who had re-trained from being a welder or something at ICI. It was bleeding agony and I know it shouldn’t be! :D

One of my closest friends has it. I know she’s trying the anti-inflammatory diet (no gluten no dairy). I don’t know how well it’s helping though. I’ll ask her.

I have a condition called Ehler Danlos Syndrome which can cause fatigue. I know it does affect my sugars too.

I’m so sorry. Sending best wishes.

The practice that I will be joining when I move does acupuncture in house. I’ll be in there like a shot:D
