Just to clarify, if you had 3-4 sweets that you injected say 2 units for them (with a 1:10 ratio) and then half an our later you fancied another 4 sweets, you would just inject another 2 units or whatever your ratio indicated was necessary. This is not insulin stacking, just like you would go out for a meal and inject for the starter before you ate it and then inject for the main course when it arrived and then for dessert if you decided you had room for one. Not sure what your point is . I do exactly as you've said when I'm out for a meal, but I have been caught out with injecting for sweets or chocolate thingies at Christmas. Maybe the ratio isn't quite right for them. I find chocolates may have an added complexity. The problem for me is not stacking but the fat it chocolates can have the “pizza effect” - the insulin starts working before the carbs if I have a fair amount of choc and inject all up front.Not sure what your point is . Any nuts as long as they are not ones with various flavourings which can make them higher carb. Some are higher calorie than others if you are concerned about that. Some people also avoid salted ones.I’m dreading Christmas, my works Head Office has sent out “sweet baskets” to their stores for the staff. It’s sat in the office calling me, so far I’ve resisted temptation and I’m sure my sweet tooth will eventually win. Plus there will be sweet tins around the house.

I’m very surprised that my willpower has lasted as long as it has. I have an extremely sweet tooth and was easily led into temptationNo chocolate in my house this Christmas or anytime of year. No biscuits, no cake ever. I have zero willpower lol lol
