I really need tocut down on the amount of chocolate and sweet things I eat as I know it's bad for me. Does anyone have any tips?

Eat small amounts of good chocolate, preferably after meals. If you like dark chocolate, high cocoa content, that's the best sort for you - a few squares pack a lot of chocolate flavour!

Overall, try to cut down on total intake of sweet things - better to have a small portion as a treat once in a while, than never eat any for ages, then have a binge.

Or try what I had to do .... :D pack em in completely for a while. And then a while longer. And then some more .... eventually the desire and compulsion to buy naughties wore off .... took years though .....

Having grandkids helped, eat two and then hand em over, I know for a fact I'll never see that packet again ..... works a treat .......

This helped me a few years ago and I can tap into it when I need to.

I bought Paul McKenna's 'I can make you thin' book/CD. There is an exercise in there whereby you replace the chocolate/sweet things with something you hate...so when you think of chocolate/sweet things the vile replacement pops into your head and you can taste/smell it....

You could have a look and see if your local library has a copy.

Its about re-programming your mind......🙂

Any choc in the house pop it in the freezer, by the time it thaws out you wont fancy it. (In theory)
How about some fun size chocs so only a little treat and as already stated eat treats as part of your meal so not a fast rise in blood sugars.

Try Water

Chocolate out of the freezer

I used to find that chocolate out of the freezer went well with coffee
