Hello all iam looking for a recipe of a diabetic chocolate cake with what sugar and what flour to use also for a diabetic cherry crumble.
 
What you need to look for is Lower Carb recipes - since the amount of carb your body can tolerate will differ from the next person with diabetes.

Ground Almonds has less carb than 'normal' wheat flour - but the 'batter' needs to be a bit 'wetter' than when using flour, so eg use larger eggs/add a splosh of milk plus you need to add baking powder if you want it to rise. If you use powdered sweetener to replace sugar, you only need a quarter to a third of the amount of sugar if you don't want it to be unbearably sweet.

For me I took this decision very early on in my diabetes life to stick with normal food and control the carbs by portion control. That way I can still enjoy the original taste and quality just not have the quantity I used too.
Fortunately I am able to do this eg break one piece of a chocolate bar and enjoy that but my wife if she was to become diabetic wouldn't be able to resist. She would most likely break of one piece and give it to me while she devoured the rest. Chocoholic or what she is.

I never found any of the diabetic food very enjoyable and only served to remind me what I was missing at least this way I still get all the flavour and take enjoyment from that. 😛 🙄o_O

Likewise, I can have 1 square of chocolate or one quarter of a nut protein bar and that is enough.
 
@Alison pullin have you checked out diet doctor?
They have a few low carb chocolate cakes ... I assume by "diabetic" you mean low carb.

I don't know about crumble but I think I would not bother with any flour and use seeds and nuts in my crumble topping. Almonds go very nicely with cherry (as the Bakewell'ians know so well) so maybe flaked almonds?
 
I occasionally get a hankering for some cakey type food and make a few muffins. Experiment on a small scale first before attempting a full size cake so that you get the texture and level of sweetness to your liking.

Hee hee Terry! Or forget the sweetener entirely and make cheese muffins - just use less yoghurt/drop more water though otherwise the result will be exceedingly fatty.
 
As others have suggested search for “low carb” or “keto” before any recipe you’re hoping to find and you’ll likely come up with something.

I’ve made this one numerous times and it’s delicious.
