Hi I'm wondering if someone cud help me with a problem I have noticed in my daughter lately. She is 4 years old.and is big for her age. Both height and weight she is not big in a way of fatty skin she is built for her height and is solid so its not her diet. We've cut down on lots of fatty foods with panademic therefore her weight is not increasing. She has always snored while sleeping and lately it's very bad she is grunting whilst watching TV like she is snoring at night. But she has had sleep machine on her and her Ent were all fine. She is wetting bed at night and some nights she can be dry. But majority of them she is wetting the bed and doesn't seem to wake up for toilet. She does drink a lot during the day and I have tried to give water throughout so less sugary drinks are being given. She lies and sort of trances into space before she sleeps buy her eyes roll around open at first and it's not very good to watch. She falls asleep and snorex so loudly it's effecting sleep of other people. Is this normal? Pls advice her dad is a Type 1 diabetic but I'm now scared it is somethinh serious ?

This really is something to refer to your doctor.
Do you check her blood glucose at all? I just wonder if it is high when she is drifting off like that.

Hello @Sh33559
Sorry to hear that you have worries about your daughter.
As Drummer suggests, this is really something that you would be best to talk to your doctor about.
I hope that you get some help and advice soon.

It could be that her snoring is disturbing her sleep quality (even though she appears to be sleeping) and leading to excessive tiredness. The snoring could be occasional enlarged adenoids, soft palate issues, allergies, etc.

But, as others have said, you really need to speak to your GP and get medical input. She’s had tests and they haven’t got to the root of the problem, so it’s perfectly reasonable to ask for further investigation.

There could be many reasons why this is happening. You need to speak to your GP and see what they suggest.

I too would recommend that you contact your GP and ask for further tests.

Did they check Blood Glucose levels. The bed wetting and excessive thirst could indicate T1, and it would be worth you knowing what her glucose levels are.

A 4 year old wetting the bed isn’t necessarily anything to worry about. The GP would be the person to talk to about the mix of concerns you have though please give them a call tomorrow.

Hope you get some answers and reassurance from your GP @Sh33559

if you struggle getting a phone appointment, and get concerned, you could try NHS111, though your GP is a better bet.
