Had a cheese platter for lunch, & late tonight my BS is very high 12.9.
Basic question is cheese bad for types 2's?

What cheeses did you have and any crackers etc .
I sometimes have a chunk of cheddar for lunch if I am hungry and I don’t need any insulin for it .

Cheese ought to be OK - but some cheeses is not just cheese - having stuff mixed in, and some are mixed and then - I think - are glued back together with starch aka stabilizer.

I always find cheese is ok, its the crackers people eat it with, plus if you has any chutney that’s where you must be careful, not that I’m an expert but over the last 12 months I’ve been quite good and careful plus continually monitoring

Yeah - normally what you eat with the cheese that does the damage rather than the cheese!

Thanks to you all.
Think I'm out of control!
Many factors :- COPD/Stress/Also had a baked Potato yesterday & a small beer.
I've got to learn that I can't enjoy!

We all fall off the wagon from time to time , don’t beat yourself up about it ok.
Today is a new day so try to start afresh.

Thanks for the support.
I will try!

I know it is not easy especially when we have other things going on.
All we can do is our best.
Take care xxx

Johnoo - I tend to think of these sorts of things as avoiding the heavy carriers, like the potato, crackers, or whatever, and concentrate on the tasty parts, like the cheese, meat, coleslaw or whatever. That way I find myself eating some fab food, without too many of the "oh dear" moments.

I appreciate it's not always easy, but learning to disconnect the cheese from the crackers, or the fish from the chips can really work. Obviously the crackers and chips are just examples.

Today's a whole new day.

I eat LCHF and cheese is one of the 2 things I'm liable to over-eat (also nuts).
I eat around 1lb of extra mature Cheddar cheese yesterday and I although I no longer need to test before and after every meal, I know from many tests in the past that it wouldn't have had any effect on my Blood Glucose level whatsoever.

Extra mature Oh yes. Been literally 20 years since I ever had any that made my mouth water as soon as I took a bite. A pound of it all at once? Keep it.
