20170401_160546.jpg Made two scotch eggs for dinner tonight. Coating is a mixture of grated parmasan & golden linseed. Tasted just like breadcrumbs.

Man they look good. Hope you enjoyed them

They were gorgeous.🙂

They do look rather appetising never used grated parmasan that way before .

Ooh they look good now I have to ask what was the calories content do you know ta

No idea as I don't count calories. The sausage meat would be where all the calories are & I used 3 sausages per scotch egg, so probably quite a few calories, but very low carb.

Mark, did you use the golden linseeds whole or did you mill them? Really want to try these.

If high meat content that's roughly 450 calories plus egg plus breadcrumb mix. Not too bad then considering.

I bought them ready milled from Aldi. Just bought some whole ones from Tesco but I will milling them.

Ah, didnt know they came ready milled, thats good because I dont have a gadget for milling them. Cheers for the info.

I didn't know that either. I've been milling them down with a pestle and mortar and it takes ages. I've invested in a grinder but might not have bothered if I had known you could buy ready milled. Mind you, it's useful to have unmilled seeds for some dishes.

I used Hen's as we have our own hens.🙂 Ostrich would be great.:D
