That reminds of the time I decided to make make buerre blanc to go with some sea bass, I must having been watching Masterchef or something. White wine...check. Shallots....check, lemon juice....check. Real butter...oops! Bit of a schoolgirl error there, it’s just the main ingredient! So I improvised and used Clover, it was great! I have substituted spring onions for shallots, I use frozen spinach in cubes and the I use loads of squirty lime juice. Life’s too short for hunting down some of these “fancy pants” ingredients! 🙂

I am a bit cautious in those substitutions. If you're a canteen or a restautnt these price saving measures are a surefire way to lose al clients.
Because low grade cooked pork shoulder and Kratfs Singles could be used for a toast, but that toast will not taste great, and a customer when pays want a decent service.
At home it's another story, but frankly I prefer to use a teaspoon of olive oil than half a glass of sunflower oil.
Another story is use simple ingredients instead of heavily processed food.
