Can this happen? Yesterday the diabetes nurse told me to lower my tresiba to 20 and I did that and today I woke up at half 2 in the afternoon. I don't normally sleep that late, normally sleep till about 10-11 if I don't have to get up early.

When I first changed my dose last month to 18 units of novorapid to 20 and 20 units of tresiba to 22 I slept late as well, is this normal and has anyone else had this problem??

I'm wondering if your anxiety about night hypos have meant you haven't been enjoying true deep sleep for some time, and with the reduction in insulin you feel less stressed generally (whether you realise it or not). Higher levels, if you are experiencing them, may also make you feel more tired.

It could be coincidence. Difficult to say. Did you feel refreshed after sleeping longer? Or have any symptoms of having had a hypo while asleep? It's less likely that you had hypo after reducing dose, although Tresiba lasts a long time, so reduction of dose wouldn't take effect immediately.
