Hello, I joined this group in 2019 as my son had steroid induced diabetes after treatment for a bone marrow transplant, which is a form of T2 though his treatment was just like T1. He is not diabetic now. Two years on and my husband is likely to have a T1 diabetes diagnosis when the results come back. I’ve tried to log onto the Learning Zone but I can’t seem to change my description as parent and I can only get the T2 info. Do I need to create a new persona? I think this would be difficult as I have one email address. Or can I access Learning Zone things another way?

Hello again @Pandy8

Glad your son no longer has diabetes, but sorry to hear about your husband! What a diabetes rollercoaster.

I will alert the Learning Zone people at Diabetes UK to your predicament. Are you happy that I share your email address with them so that they can identify your account and reach out to you?

I can find your email via your forum account, so there’s no need for you to post it here 🙂

Thanks very much. Yes, very happy for you to pass on my email address As I feel I need to educate myself. I couldn’t understand why it gave me the T2 things but I suppose it’s historical. There didn’t seem to be a way to change the description for me. Yes, unfortunately my Husbands side of the family seem to have autoimmune problem (Aplastic Anaemia, Hashimotos, now T1).
