Hello lovely diabetes community!

I have a Libre3, Echo novopens and a Fitbit so currently using several apps to manage my overall health (fun times):

Libre3 - for continuous glucose monitoring
LibreLink - to store insulin injections by scanning the Novopen
Fitbit - for active minutes, steps, sleep, heart rate

I would love to have all this lovely data in one app and / or to be able to see my glucose reading on my watch. Started looking into it and got thoroughly confused! I wish there was a simpler answer or clear information about the tech side.

I think there is an app which takes data from Libre3 and is compatible with Apple Watch but was interested in people’s experience with this and research before investing.

Thanks so much!!

There hasn't been much discussion at all on here about Libre 3. When it first came out it wasn't available in the UK and we did hear a bit about it from a chap in Germany who used it. Hence - no idea personally whatsoever, sorry.

Thanks so much for your reply Jenny. It’s a shame Libre3 isn’t more widely used because I had a massive allergic reaction to Dexcom and this was a lifesaver! I can set alerts and I have personally found it incredibly reliable.

I have been trying to get insulin pump therapy for years and speaking with my diabetes team it is likely to be another 6 months before I get a sniff of one. Trying to make the most of what is available and make my life easier!

Hello,

“Biohacking” is a bit of a dirty word for me. & I’ve seen stuff where they non D bio hackers now use sensors as part of their regime. (“refuelling” reactions & suchlike during exercise?) The Libre 2 is used & rebranded (with a massive black noticeable “sports patch” for such practices.
(Not sure about the L3.)
Though I don’t feel there will be any room on these “support apps” to log insulin dosage.

It might be worth exploring the biohacking market avenue to help tailor to your needs.?

Unless those clever xDrip developers have something that can cover all your needs? I know one can track dosage & carbs with the app. Not sure about “ for active minutes, steps, sleep, heart rate.”

(Or even the L3 algorithm?)

Hope this helps.

I’d recommend checking out the “Libre Geeks“ group on Facebook. There are lots of discussion there about how you can get Libre readings on various types of watchs etc. Discussion on this has really picked up since the app update to allow the Libre 2 to be an rtCGM. I think you’ll find lots of possible option there.

What kind of watch and phone are you using anyway? I might be able to give you a starting set of options that you can then explore further on that group.

I tried to get my dexcom g6 to talk to a smart watch and i gave up after about the 15th youtube video that said how easy it was

XDrip+ will work with the Fitbit (so I read, I use a Garmin), record your Libre data and also read your pen data, and then present it all in a graph. It does require going away from the official Libre app though - it's a shame the official app doesn't share data in real time to make life easier for aggregator/presentation/analysis apps.
