I've tested my bg level after eating some different cereals. It turns out that my bg levels are too high after eating various ones. Do you finish the box of cereals off and don't buy them again? Or do you just throw away the cereal no matter how much is left of it?

Most of us avoid all breakfast cereals for the reason you've mentioned. I can manage one Weetabix or the equivalent amount of oats, but my Just Right, Fruit & Fibre and Shredded Wheat went in the bin once I was diagnosed.
I donate my unwanted foods to the next door neighbours who have 3 children with hollow legs!!! Or do you know a family struggling financially who would be glad of a little extra, even if it's opened?
I'm ok with Weetabix. It doesn't cause a high spike for some reason. Now shreddies and blueberry wheats cause my bg level to rocket up. I've yet to try rice crispies.
Why would you treat cereal any different to any other food you test and decide it raises your blood sugars too high or you do not like for some other reason such as taste?
I would decide whether I was willing to tolerate it (maybe in smaller portions) and whether I could afford to throw away food.
I would definitely not buy it again.

Rather than chuck it away try smaller portion of cereal then see how you get on, if no good feed to birds but don't scatter on ground as it encourages rats, so bird table is ideal.
You could have half the portion you tried as a topping on some full fat Greek yoghurt add a few berries or seeds or nuts and see how you get on with that before chucking them away or feeding the birds.

I did exactly that as I was not used to eating Greek yoghurt for breakfast. NowI find it is a very good breakfast with red berries. I do like a bit of crunch, so I am going to try some seeds, I will experiment with different toppings for variety. I probably had a 1/4 portion of cereal on the yoghurt and found BG level ok after 2 hours.

I sometimes have Greek yoghurt with peanut butter and raspberries. Very nice indeed.
I sometimes mix in some fresh lemon juice and zest, a bit of vanilla and sprinkle some sweet cinnamon over it. You can also add flaked nuts for some crunch, or make a home made granola using nuts (Mix up some nuts and seeds, add some squashed dates, butter and bake.)
Whether it was OK depends on what you were before you had then, borderline of the guide no more than 8.5mmol/l 2 hours post meal but if it was more than a 2-3mmol/l increase from before then not so good.
It didn’t take me long once I started checking levels after meals to discover that most cereals (no matter how high their fibre content) were not a good choice for me.
The ’sprinkle on yoghurt’ technique is a good one whenever I have a cereal twinge, but I don’t think of them as a regular part of my meal plan. The enjoyment-to-BG-chaos ratio is not worth it for me!
This morning I tested before eating. I had a reading of 7.4 at 9 am. Two hours later after a bowl of blueberry wheats, my reading was 10.0. Is that ok?

I'd recommend that you start weighing your portion as otherwise you have no idea of how many carbs you're eating. If you have milk with it then measure that too, as milk also has carbs.
