So I decided to try this today as I fancied a curry. I confess I cheated and brought it in a packet pre prepared but despite thinking it will probs taste pants actually it was not too bad ... Was more like cous cous than rice but tasted OK x just goes to show you never know till you try ... Lol

I always get the pre-packaged stuff. Asda have had it in 3 different flavours for £1 each. Don't know if the offer is still on.

Glad to read that ! Sometimes when I read the threads on here I begin to feel slightly inadequate that I don't make everything from scratch x lol x

I like it mashed up with cream. 🙂

I like it mashed with broccoli & a little thick double cream & seasoned with black pepper, top it with grated cheese & grilled til it's browned & crispy..,yum!

I keep meaning to try sausage & mash using cauli. Used to love sausage & mash.

Me too - used to have it with baked beans!!!
Wrong on every count, WL. Beans don't go with mash. It's a fact. It is listed on my food rules.:D

Now Mark you didn't read my post correctly 🙄 - I wrote it in past tense:D

I had a wee session making up a batch when I came across an offer for cheap cauliflowers. I made up separate servings and froze them. Had I known you could buy it in Asda, I'd have saved myself the hassle. Nevertheless it's a handy accompaniment for some meals. Flavouring it is easy and adding grated cheese on top sounds great.
