This loosing so much weight is literally gonna lead me to suicide ... I'm getting weaker and weaker day by day and just went the loo and saw myself in the mirror ... Even the bones on my chest are showing now ... The bones in my legs , spine and feet are so prominent not sure I can deal with this much more . I'm sorry guys but I don't .

Darren, I'm sorry to hear you are continuing to have problems with your weight. Is your doctor doing anything to help, is he aware of how much this is affecting you? What are your blood sugar levels like at the moment? Keeping your levels better controlled should help you to keep/put the weight on - if you are having problems with control then do please ask your doctor for help to improve things.

I hope things get better fr you soon Darren, let us know how things go.

Please go and talk to your Doctor. Print out your post if you feel it would help, and if you have figures which show your weight loss take them and a record of your blood sugars with you.

If you feel you are getting no where with your GP ask for a referral to a community DSN (they are available in some areas) or to the hospital.

Is there anyone who would go with you to the Dr, who could help support your position.

Take care

I agree with the other two Darren. Please go and see your doctor as soon as you can and tell him how you feel. You shouldn't have to feel like this and it's no shame to ask for help when you need it. Besides, there may be something going on beyond the diabetes and the GP would need to arrange for tests to establish that.

So sorry to hear you're having a hard time, Darren. 😱
As everyone else has said, go to the doctor a.s.a.p. and get some help.

Please go to the Doctors and get some help. Make them listen, you are important. You are not alone in your feelings, there are lot of us supporting you, even it is thru this forum. We all care.

I really do agree with all the posts...please phone your surgery and ask for an emergency appointment as you clearly are not in a good place and this needs to be sorted like NOW!

If you feel this down you owe it to yourself to get help and back on track as you are clearly very unhappy....and no one should feel like that!

All the best Darren and please ring your surgery 🙂

I hope that you've got in touch with your GP and are being both seen and listened to. I understand fully how frustrating it is when health professionals don't seem to listen to what you are telling them. You know your own body and what isn't right with yourself.

Take care and let us know how you are.

Please get some help asap, if necessary demand it !!, good luck and keep posting ...

I've given up ... To scared to ask anyone for help ... For years I've tried ...get built up thinking someone is gonna be there and help me , but never does ... ,, so no point trying any more

Don't give up, Darren. Did you go to the doctor? Tell us what's been happening. We really want to help!😱

I've not been on this forum for long, so you may not thank me for my message which is only based on what you've said here, but anyone who was on this forum earlier than me deserves at least a hello. Hello, I have the opposite problem to you, I can't LOOSE weight. I don't know how underweight you are but I think you have more leeway before your health is affected. I've actually been on low calories for 8 years, exercising like it's going out of fashion sometimes until I get injured. More recently I've been on low carbs and that has had some effect but even those losses have stopped. The one thing I haven't done is give up, I want to know the answer, I want to know why my body doesn't do what the majority does. You may feel in a hopeless situation and a lot of us have been there, you just have to keep at it.
I have been consulting a nutritional therapist and that has helped me a lot, I have a friend who is stick thin, struggles to gain weight and she also sees the same nutritional therapist and it's helped her a lot.
Maybe that is an avenue you might want to pursue? In the meantime, DO NOT GIVE UP, you have to keep chipping away.
GPs are usually the first port of call but when it comes to proper nutrition, they leave a lot to be desired, they are GENERAL Practitioners after all. Even a personal trainer at your local gym would have some good advice for weight gain, not necessarily full of carbs although they do like their carbs. Keep going, you'll get there and that's the important thing to remember, you will get there.

Just wanted to add that if this forum had vote buttons, I would upvote graj0's post. 🙂
