Hi Patsy, welcome to the forum 🙂 Diet drinks are fine 🙂

Have you been diagnosed long?

Welcome to the forum carer patsy 🙂

I guess the answer depends on which insulin you use and whether you want to inject for a drink.

As a Type 2, I stick to all the Sugar Free/Diet versions of drinks which gives me Fanta Orange, Coke, Pepsi, Lilt, Irnbru, Sprite, Vimto and various own brand fizzy drinks (Dandelion & Burdock being a favourite).

Do you do fruit teas or just avoid warm drinks in particular?

All the 'no added sugar' squashes are OK. See the Recipes thread for iced tea that's not loaded with sugar. Beware of flavoured mineral waters - many of then are sweetened with sugar.

Hi Patsey, I drink Diet Tonic Water with a hint of Lemon. 6 bottles from Morrisons ?1 odd. Good for people with big "D". NO gin honest 😉
