As for olives - bleugh!!!!!😱🙄

Oh dear.

Carbohydrate is an important part of the diet; it should make up about half of your total daily energy intake. Carbohydrates provide energy, fibre, B vitamins and some minerals, such as calcium and iron. Aim to base all of your meals and most of your snacks on starchy carbohydrate foods

I'm not sure what's worse, the continued insistence that every meal should be based around the one thing that disrupts your blood sugar, or the delusional belief that in an era of obesity and people getting too much energy for their daily needs from food that 'energy' should be a selling point. And that's before we even get to pointing out that carbohydrates aren't even a good source of calcium or iron compared to say, veg and dairy.

I didn't read the top bit either, just the lists of foods!

It does sort of make you wonder what thought process went into putting this together.

"Make sure everything you eat is based around starchy carbs. Got that? Good. In that case, here is a list of everything that doesn't have carbs in it that you should be snacking on."

I swear to god that anyone with a qualification as a nutritionist/dietician is about as qualified to be involved in medicine as one of those 'doctors' with a mail order degree in naturopathy.

If im peckish i sometimes get a pack of cocktail sausages from M&S. There's 10 in a pack & barely affects my BG.
