hi I'm a newbie to type 2. Any one got any info on whether canned spuds are ok . Can't find any info anywhere. Pls help if you 'can'
 
Welcome to the forum, fishboy. Nearly all tins / cans have nutritional information on their labels. Always per 100g drained weight, so you can compare between different items; often per portion as well. Generally, there's not much difference between fresh and tinned fruit / veg, as long as you discard sugary syrup.
 
In honesty I'd be going for a couple of fresh new potatoes with their skins still on for the fibre. I always think tinned new potatoes have a bit of a slimy texture but maybe that's just me 😉
