Didn't mean to do that!
Waking BG of 5.7. Went up to 9.1. 2.5 units of Novorapid, 4 units of Levemir. Breakfast of 1 Weetabix and half a banana.
Cambridge half marathon. Started with BG 7.9.
Mile 7 - 10.9. Finish 5.9. Nothing to eat and nothing to drink.
Time of 1.59.1.
Very well done.

Anyone running Cambridge half marathon? How is the training going? I don't think I am as prepared this year!
Hi Jonathan
My son is tackling the London marathon this year, he’s in training now, he’s also a type 1 so hoping you may have some advice for him.
Thank you

Get plenty of miles in!
As for the diabetic side - well, I don't know. I must be somewhat unusual in that I started with a BG of 7.9 and an hour later at about mile 7 it was higher at 10.9 when the expectation would be that BG should drop.

Now training (training? Really?) for Gear 10 in King's Lynn. Concentrating on some speed work. This sounds much more dignified than it actually is - I just attempt to run a bit quicker.
Anyone else running it?
