Hi all iwanted to open a thread where people can put there reactions to the vaccine on our sugars etc.

In my case (az) my bg has been swinging all over for the last week and seems to be causing dizzyness in the last few days (speaking to doc later hopefully), plus a really sore arm. So I'm curious as to other peolles reactions.

I had the AZ jab 10 weeks ago and, for a couple of days, became very sensitive to insulin - I struggled to maintain non-hypo levels despite reducing my basal dose significantly.
This only lasted 2 days (followed by a day feeling exhausted because I had been fighting hypos for that long). Since then I have been fine and dandy.
I have my second jab next week and have topped up on hypo treatments in preparation but wouldn't be surprised if I react differently this time.

Hope you feel better soon @Stuvart

Had my first Moderna jab yesterday morning, arm was a bit swollen at the injection site last night otherwise no other issues, BG seems unaffected so far

So spoke to the doctor he reckons its bbpv (vertigo) brought on/excrebated by fluctuating sugars and a side effect from the jab. Got some betahistimine to try and calm it, but its a wait and see.

I had a very mild reaction both times. A slight headache, hardly any arm ache, slight grogginess first time, but none second time.

A few folks have noted their reactions on the ‘first jab’ and ‘second jab’ threads

First AZ shot yesterday. So far: no effect on BG; BP and heart rate both up a bit; feel kind of like I have a cold but without cough etc; no temperature.
