Welcome @Lisa Ellen🙂 No, you wouldn’t get a Disabled Bus Pass for diabetes alone. However, if you had additional issues you might be eligible. These include very limited mobility, severe sight problems and being refused a driving licence on medical grounds, to give a few examples. Your local council should have an information page about it.
This is the link for criteria for applying for a disabled bus pass if you live in England. Enter your postcode and it takes you to the information page at your Local Council https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-disabled-bus-pass
Everyone gets a bus pass at state pension age which is now at least 66.
The disabled pass is awarded for different criteria in different areas,
but Diabetes alone does not qualify for this.
