Hi All,
Have seen Bircher muesli as a suggested breakfast.
Anyone have a T2 specific recipe?
Been on You-Tube but all of the recipes aren't for diabetics.

Question - is coco-powder bad for you? (sugars and carbs wise).

Thanks

I think the problem with things like muesli is people underestimate how many carbs there are in a so called portion as the amount that looks like a reasonable portion actually weighs quite a lot. When you see the pictures in the Carbs and Cals you will realise how small a portion looks that would be a tolerable amount of carbs.
I usually have about 10g of a low sugar granola or All Bran on my Yoghurt for the crunch.
You can always try and test to see what would suit you.
How many carbs in the cocoa powder will depend on whether it is sweetened.

The recipe I found was 60 gm of carbs per serving, about half from sugar - it just isn't something to consider in a carb restricted diet I'm afraid, not unless you can cope with those numbers.

@andyp64 I forgot to say that there are also lower carb granolas available. Lizi’s and Eat Natural are two brands, but you need to watch your portion size and check the carbs in the various flavours as some are higher than others.
