just wondered what others have for their breakfast I have 2 rounds of wholemeal toast with marmite on it and a cup of full strenght coffee This can send my BG up by 3-4 points but i guess thats a trade off for having something you love

I have overnight oats (oats soaked in water)with mixed seeds and greek yogurt on the days I know I can wait for my insulin to kick in, scrambled eggs on days when I need breakfast straight way before heading out, and a Nature Valley protein bar on days when I need breakfast on the run.

Usually overnight chia seeds (Sometimes with oats) with Greek yoghurt, berries, nuts or peanut butter. Dash of vanilla.

Morning have always stuck with same breakfast which is granola with lots of fruit. Since my diabetes diagnosis 18 months ago just switched to much lower carb and reduced amount of granola and have raspberries, strawberries, pineapple, mango, melon, banana, and walnuts with semi skimmed milk.
I know you can adjust your fruits and use Greek yoghurt to lower the carb amount but I just love having a wide variety and big bowl of fresh fruit to start the day

Usually nothing, I get up at 5.30 for work and don't want to eat at that time.

Either, Greek yoghurt, berries and keto granola or boiled eggs or scrambled egg and smoked salmon or cheese on toast with poached egg or bacon, egg, tomatoes or mushrooms. With 1 slice toast (home made bread), half with the eggs and half with 1 tsp marmalade (home made).

I do like my egg and bacon with a single slice of toast. Bread/Toast in the morning give me a spike so have to limit it. Tried weetabix over Christmas at my brothers but the spike was a bit surprising, so sticking to my egg & bacon again!
I do miss having 2 slices of toast & lashings of butter & marmalade!

Porridge with Greek style yogurt, odd time might have toast or when on travels a big greasy full english.

Creamy Greek style natural yoghurt with berries and seeds and cinnamon and a sprinkle of nutty granola most mornings.
Bread causes me too much of a spike and the more I eat of it the more I want. I wouldn't be happy with just 2 slices of wholemeal toast and Marmite and sooner or later it would be 3 and then 4 slices and then I would be hungry a couple of hours later wanting something else.
Porridge also spikes me too much and I would want a good spoon of honey in it to enjoy it which would make it worse and I don't want to use sweeteners regularly. Same with other cereals. Can't imagine enjoyably eating Weetabix or Shredded wheat or Cornflakes without sugar or an alternative.

For me it is my own granola (toasted oats, nuts and seeds) with Aldi Greek Yoghourt. No dried fruit, that ups BG quite dramatically. Slice of whatever my current home made loaf is, toasted, with a thin spread of my own high flavour marmalade.

I have a cup of tea which I take to my desk and login here to see what all you good folks have to say, and clear out any spammers who might have been busy overnight - that's if @Alan44 has not got there first!

A big bowl of this muesli, with fat-free soya milk (and black coffee).

Eggs

Either an omlette with toms and mushrooms or peppers or whatever else thats suitable in the fridge
Or 2 soft boiled with a single slice of wholemeal toast cut into soldiers for dipping
Or scrambled on a single slice of wholemeal toast

Eggs are such a useful thing since we are allowed them

Or occasionally like you 2 slices of toast with loads of glorious marmite on nomnomnom :D

I find sonething decent for breakfast means im not hungry in the middle of the day and can go til tea time without wanting a sarnie or something equally as bad

I do enjoy a bowl of muesli with Greek yoghurt at the moment. Really tasty. Overnight oats if I remember to make them are good. I've tried to cut back on the cereals since diagnosis but I do really enjoy a bowl of cornflakes sometimes 🙂

For me, it's always a large bowl of porridge with blackberries (picked locally throughout the summer) and walnuts. I stopped eating eggs last year when I had a bad reaction to them, so if I'm away, it's usually bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, and, as a treat, fried bread.

Two boiled eggs or full fat Greek yogurt with blueberries and walnuts

I make flaxseed bread which I picked up off here and also almond flour bread. I have that with a boiled egg or avocado. Sometimes low carb oatmeal with almond meal or coconut meal but not so often now as I find plant milk causes my stomach to play up. Sometimes I will also have some natural yoghurt and a few nuts,

This morning i had yoghurt with muesli and some stewed fruit, does anybody have a recipe for bread which i can make myself something different would be nice. Some days i have Bran Flacks with soya milk and seeds.
I'm also struggling lunch time's ?

Home made nut and seed granola for me, if BG is around 6 no need for bolus insulin to keep within range.

I have a glass of full cream milk since being diagnosed just over a year ago, before I didn't have breakfast, but when I was in hospital when diagnose I was so ill I couldn't eat much so they got me to drink milk to get my BS up enough to give me insulin and ive continued doing it.

Eat Natural Protein Granola; blueberries; semi-skimmed milk. Followed by large mug of French coffee. Every day except Christmas (scrambled eggs with smoked salmon) or if we're at a hotel (full English).
