Hi everyone - just wondering what you all have for breakfast? I have been having mainly eggs - in all their forms - since diagnosis two years ago. I love eggs, but have recently found it quite hard to eat them - I think I must be "egged out". I would love to hear of some low carb ideas. Thanks guys x

I’ve just had a slice of wholemeal toast with a slice of thickly cut turkey and some fried mushrooms on top with a dollop of mayo. It was delicious (if you like that kind of thing for breakfast).

Yes you can get fed up with any food if you have too much of it.
If you have time how about a typical fry up of
High meat content sausages, mushrooms, bacon , it’s all low carb.

Mushrooms on toast or bread that your body tolerates well, many here have Burgen linseed and sunflower bread .

If you have a look through a thread called * What did you eat yesterday* it will give you plenty of ideas

I can't eat eggs more than two days in a row before I get fed up with them. In fact I'm like that with most foods. Today I had smoked mackerel with 2 large mushrooms filled with garlic & herb cream cheese. I can tolerate porridge as long as it's no more than a 30g portion, so I sometimes have that with added berries, nuts & seeds to bulk it out. Cream cheese pancakes are another idea & very easy to make, just basically cream cheese, eggs & sweetener. Make a berry compote to put on top & they are lovely.

I actually dont like eggs in themselves but as an ingredient, not so bad.

I tend to have these for breakfast. https://www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/keto-egg-muffins

You can switch it up and have bacon, sausage, black pudding, chorizo, pepper, mushroom, ham.

Really nice and only 2g carb (unless you pop some chocolate in there 😉).

You can make a batch in advance and then you are sorted for a few days. Really quick, tend to make them alongside an evening meal.

Thank you everyone - some great ideas there! I'm looking forward to trying them! x
