In the morning i usually have 2 weetabix and 2 toast for breakfast. From today i have cut out bread from my diet and wondering are there better cereals out there instead of weetabix.

I was a massive cereal eater but haven't found a suitable one. Changed to Eggs & Bacon plus Skyr Icelandic Yoghurt with berries in. Does me well till lunchtime. I miss cereal but its a sacrifice i need to make.

Just enjoyed my bacon and egg with a slice of Burgen toasted.

I also gave up cereals as soon as I realised what they did to my blood sugar levels 😱 Even with the help of insulin, they would still rocket up my levels, so aren't worth the grief. Burgen toast for me now 🙂

Lizi's granola and unsweetened almond milk for me. I find it gives me a flatter profile than burgen toast.

I found out accidentally I could tolerate porridge with unsweetened almond milk better than ordinary cows' milk. Dairy exacerbates daughter's eczema, so when we were on a self catering hol, I made porridge for the both of us using almond milk as it was less hassle, and discovered I spiked a lot less.

I find Tesco own porridge pots ok they are quite high carb as all porridge is but it seems to work, haven't tried much else since I was diagnosed apart from toast, toaster waffles and peanut butter and they are all ok for me too x

I always have eggs. Can't go far wrong with eggs! Once I get to goal weight I will give porridge a whirl and see what it does to my BG. 🙂

Once I saw what cereals did to my BG, spiking horribly, I understood the description I was given. Cereal is a bowl of sugar in disguise.
I am fortunate that I can tolerate porridge, with some yogurt without a big spike durin the week.

Porridge always works for me.
