Hi, I have been eating a little Burgen bread which has a low GI rating but which actually sends my b/g up. As I do enjoy sandwiches and bread anyway, does anyone have any ideas of bread that I could try that won't send my b/g up?, suggestions please, thanks.

Mmmm Bread.

Hi there,
I use a low carb bread from Morrisons. It's 6.5 carbs per slice and seems to work for me. On the down side I can only get it from a store near where I work as the nearest store to where I live doesn't stock it. I think it has only just come out as it states " Present price an offer and will go up". Oh well such is life.:(

I used to eat Burgen but I now eat a seeded batch loaf (co-op, Aldi etc) which a lot of places seem to sell and 2 slices at lunch do me OK.

Hi

I make a fresh mixed seed daily with the panasonic bread maker - delicious and you can adjust the salt and sugar.

While you are in Aldi, I buy the cheap diet lemonade (18p for 2 litres) it's not bad. The cream soda from sainsbury's is good if you like vanilla.

vogel is good aswell ...they dont add extra sugar ..🙂

I get whole grain bread from a little bakery next to my office. My breadmaker died and I haven't the cash to replace it at the moment. I've tried a few different kinds and theirs seems to be the only one that doesn't send my sugars through the roof.
