Since cutting the carbs 4 weeks ago I've been missing bread. I spotted a new loaf on the shelf at work so thought I'd have a look and give it a try.
It's 13g of carbs per slice.
I had 2 slices toasted for lunch with butter.
Went from 5.3 up to 7.7 after 2 hours.
I'm happy with that.

Thats better than two slices which set me back 54g of carbs . I wonder if it is available near me. Thank you for sharing.

I got it in M&S if that helps.

I do like toast and bread in general. So anything that makes it doable sounds good to me.

Thank you it is made in Oxford so might be only in that area. May I ask if you felt hungry after it as I did feel hungry after my sandwich. So I prefer a salad to just a sandwich. I possibly craved more bread. Doesn't help when hubby can eat triple what I eat and not make a difference to waistline.

I'm in Essex, so a good distance from Oxford. Didn't feel hungry until dinner, which was about 6 hours after lunch.

Im not far near to Saffron Walden .

Not for me as I have found seeded breads irritate my irritable bowel.
Oh that can be the case . Seeds are notorious for that. On a bowel topic the low carb diet irritates mine a little but i do not think its the seeds.

Interesting (this may be too much information) but my bowel habits changed when I started low carb. Before I 'went' once a day but now more like 3 times. Just seems the wrong way round.

I guess but thats how it is . Still better than metformin and coloured water bombs . Plus pavement pizza on walls and floors. TMI.
One thing with low carb is all the new meals we are trying . it was to be pesto cod tonight but he mislaid getting the cod . planet bells i think do we had pesto tuna with the roast fennel it was delicious.

I used "to go" multiple times a day pre-diagnosis but then once I started low carb I suffered constipation as I missed the roughage from grains in wholemeal bread and porridge and didn't go every day until I introduced a soluble fibre supplement in the form a daily Fibre drink and now normal is just once a day until the last week when I have run out of psyllium and not been able to have my usual Fibre drink and eating more carbs and things have started going haywire again. Must make an effort to order some more psyiiium husk as Lidl don''t sell it. Not sure about other supermarkets but cheaper to buy online in bulk, so need to get that organized. Had to use some old oat bran to thicken my stew instead which is higher in carbs than psyllium, but still lower than flour, so a few things are sliding with my diet and once it slides it is harder to claw it back, so must get back to my Fibre drink as that is an important part of my low carb routine and feeling well. I have felt bloated with less happy bowels the last few days because I have let things slip..... Going to do it right now in fact to help me get back on track.
