GM,

I am attempting to book my blood test. Oh my what a performance. My surgery do not do bts so I need to book at the local hospital via a system called Sangix. Does anyone else is this? Impossible to find any dates on their calendar, I cannot believe every day in March is booked, but according to Sangix this is the case. The menu mentions a waiting list, can I find that???Clearly no.Dates are released a month ahead, so will keep checking for April and hope I get one b4 these all vanish...

Our GP does not do blood tests but a local pharmacy does and we book through a system called Swiftqueue and as long as you have your blood form from the GP it is easy and there are usually appointments, pretty quickly.

You are so lucky. Think I will pop into surgery this week and do some serious high level grovelling for a blood test appointment. Sigh

Yes, we do! Had a bit of difficulty last year getting appointments at the nearest pharmacy plus it's the corner shop on a traffic light corner so can be a bit ?? to access, so we chose to go over to Allesley on the basis there are 2 blue badge spaces smack on the end of the residential road down the side of it - and so far that's been better despite the trek.

Had a text reminder last week, from D clinic at St X, to book my blood test ready for my appt there on 9th April. Talk about from the sublime to the ridiculous! So, next week some time, I'll get it booked. (doesn't show you the whole month from what I remember)

We use the Stivichell pharmacy as it is quite close to home and there is parking right outside.

Just to say that not all surgeries are that bad. Around here there is a centralised blood testing service (you turn up to a centre, wait your turn, have blood taken) but the service was getting so bad that our surgery has re-introduced the system whereby if you need a blood test, the surgery nurse does the business.

E-mail your practice manager and tell them how bad the service is, is what I would do, @Sharron1 !

Our surgery still does bloods but I think it's because we are quite rural. Nearest hospitals are 15 miles or 20 miles in different directions. Convenient for us so not complaining.

I’m in a city and get my bloods done at the surgery (or at one of the surgeries in the group, since they merged about 6 to get over the “number-of-patients-on-the-books-to-qualify-for-something” quota 🙄 )

Our surgery has outsourced blood tests, bookable, via Swiftqueue. When I log in just now, I could book a blood test, at our local leisure centre (in a room set up with screens), tomorrow at 10:05.

I've only used the service once, but was thankful I didn't need to slip out of a sweater or anything, so I must remember for the future.

My surgery still do blood tests.
Ours stopped years ago, but sometimes if there is a blue moon, an 'r' in the month and you plead long enough, it will be done The entire begging process takes longer than the 5 minutes to take blood.
Too be fair, the problem I think is way too many patients and not enough HCPs. I would do it myself, if I had the equipment.

I used that one for my last test. Result was on the app about 4 hours after the blood was taken!
I've used one in Canley as well.
