There’s a video on YouTube if it helps @LizG

If my daughter has had high BGs for a few hours that won’t shift after various corrections and set changes, I put her on +40% temp basal for a few hours and that usually brings her down again! You have to keep an eye on BGs though and stop the temp basal once you are approaching normal numbers, you don’t want to go low.

You should always have pens as a backup when pumping too, just in case the pump fails completely. Has never yet happened to us but I know people who it has happened to, the pump companies are pretty good at getting replacements out quickly but you don’t want to be left with nothing at all in the meantime.

Thank you

I‘m not sure but you *might* need to switch temp basals on in the settings on the 640? (i used one for years, but it’s amazing what you forget!)

I know the extended and dual wave boluses weren’t enabled by default, but I’m not sure if you need to switch on temp basals 🙂
