That's my blood taken for my +3 month HBA1c result. Gulp. Libre software is estimating a 6.9%, which would be an amazing figure, but I know realistically that it won't be that low. I generally record higher values on the finger prick test. The big question is how far north my result will be. Wish me luck that my Libre hasn't been too far out!

The experience at my local GP was all a bit apocalyptic – I had to ring the doorbell, announce my arrival and wait in the car park to be called in. When ready, the nurse appeared (head to toe in PPE) unlocked the door and invited me in, from a distance. The reception desk was literally barricaded by a ring of chairs and a sign instructing people not to move past them. All very weird, but totally understandable. I take my hat off to our nurses, and all NHS staff, this really can't be easy for them.

So now I wait. Until Tuesday.

Good luck!

Gosh! surprised that you’ve been having routine checks done. My surgery seems to have more or less shut down for anything but emergency stuff.

Hope the results come through for you, and you get an A1c that reflects your efforts. Can you get them via Patient Access? Or will you have to phone up?

Fingers cross for you.

I am really surprised that they are still doing blood tests at your surgery @missclb .
Fingers crossed for you.

Just got my result on patient access - 53 mmol or 7.0%. So that's very close to my Libre estimation. Very happy with that.

And it looks like this area has finally got in line with the rest of the country, I got a letter yesterday to say my clinic appointment has been postponed. Phew. Was not thrilled about having to go out to a hospital.

Congratulations on the great result @missclb!

Glad you were able to get that check done before they called on the checkups 🙂

Great result. Many congratulations!

Well done! heaven knows what's happening with any of our hospital appointments in August, or the blood tests for them.

@trophywench - yeah, it's all a bit messed up. I'm guessing it's fine to wait it all out, especially if your track record is good. I'm super happy I got the chance to update my HBA1c in the system to a much better number before they stopped outpatient appointments here. Very good timing!

My last two weren't at ALL good; so I'm a bit concerned frankly. Very high 50s and over 60 …...
