Hi, for the past 3-4 days I have been experiencing high blood sugars. I am objecting what I would normally inject but my bloods are tearing differently. They are lingering around 12-13-14-15 and taking a long time to come down or struggling to get down.

I feel ok... I think I may have a grown strain which surely couldn’t affect my bloods?!

It’s really bothering me! I have changed my long and short acting cartridges.... what could it be????

I have been diabetic for 5.5 years

Groin strain could affect it, pain, hormones, body temperature etc can all be factors
May I ask is it a new batch of insulin? I read on the 'other' forum that someone was experiencing problems with their novorapid penfill cartridges, I'm just away to post the batch no and expiry in a thread after I've sorted a few things out xx

My batch number is GR7C337 for novorapid and GS63Y41 for tresiba is this the same do you know? X

That's the novorapid batch no they are experiencing problems with!! expiry is 12/2019 xx

Yes! What do I do???
I'm not sure, sorry, do you have a local hospital that you could go to and enquire about a new batch? other than that idea I don't know what you could do xx

Hi. If you don’t have any spares with a different batch number , I suggest calling your out of hours gp service or doing as @Kaylz has suggested.
I hope you can get a new supply easily.

I have been hovering in the 14's for a few days too, they just get stuck no matter how many time i correct. Just checked and my rapid is the same batch number with same expiry date... have got three more boxes with different batch numbers so will try one of those instead and see what happens.
