Just back from the doctors, had blood tests to eliminate other factors for referral to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome clinic. I think everything other than diabetes stuff was fine...

Except, HbA1c was forgotton AND my fasting blood glucose came back at 7.8mmol, at least it's showed him that I AM diabetic!

So need more bloods taken next wednesday for HbA1c, might be an interesting game to guess? ;P

Hi Liz, I too am going through the elimination process before ME / CFS can be diagnosed. Glad to hear that everything else blood test wise is fine. I hope your HbA1c is ok and you get your referral soon.

I had a load of bloods done to find out why I had no energy and had chronic fatigue, my HbA1c was 9.6% which didn't help (was still 9.6% when I have a stroke 2 months later), but my Vit D level was quite low, so I was started on Vit D supplements. Still felt tired, fatigued and had no energy, but after I had the stroke I felt a lot better, now I have post stroke tiredness but I still feel better than I did before the stroke...

I hope you all get the help that you need in making your life better with chronic fatigue. It must be extremely difficult for you living with this condition. Im also suffering from fatigue but my understanding, from what I've read, is that because my ESR is raised then that rules out Chronic fatigue syndrome.

Sorry to hear that all you guys here are suffering from chronic fatigue in one form or another.

Even though my blood sugars are all out of whack, especially at the moment, there is more to it than it being because of that and a lot more symptoms than just tiredness.

It just seems like I most certainly got the short straw, 3 conflicting conditions; diabetes, coeliac disease and now CFS... all interelated, my diabetes needs to be controlled (and I know it can be!) by diet & exercise, diet is difficult I can't have wholemeal bread etc and generally gluten free foods have more carb counts than those which aren't :/ Then the more activity I do the more 'fatigued' I am. Can't really win, i'm hoping this all gets ruled out asap.
