I'd love to know how often these doctors would feel the need to test if they had diabetes, or if it affected their child.

Absolutely, Diabetes is something no one fully understands until you have it or know someone close who does.

Your gp practise should be ashamed of themselves to suggest that a box of 50 strips should last 9 months!😡 Type 1's and insulin users should not be limited to the amount of blood glucose strips necessary to manage their condition and gp's damn well know that, as usual it all boils down to cost and penny pinching.

A box of 50 lasts me around 6-7 days and I order 200 strips every 4 weeks, never have I been questioned about my strip usage and I am sure if I needed 5 boxes they would oblige.
