Hello
can anyone tell me, if a non diabetic tests blood sugar 2hrs after eating , can they be 9 or 10.
I'm worried about my son.

Did he wash his hands before testing?

I'm not sure , can it make much of a difference.
If you have traces of anything sugary on your hands when testing, that can give a higher reading. So before panicking it’s always worth making sure the test is carried out with clean hands. It’s also always worth speaking to a GP about any concerns of potential diabetes as they can do different tests to either put your mind at rest or help with treatment if there is a problem.

Thankyou will check him again tomorrow

Bear in mind that home monitors are not really suitable for diagnostic purposes @Karen999 and you may cause yourself unnecessary anxiety - if he has concerns about his risk of diabetes he should ask to het checked by his GP really, who can organise an HBA1c check which will give a far more definitive answer. 🙂
