I’m not sure what you think I don’t understand? I saw some gaps in your knowledge and suggested resources to fill them?
??

I think busdriver is asking you to understand this is all quite new to them, possibly due to feeling that they are a wee bit overwhelmed with all the diabetes stuff? That would be my interpretation

Thank you, I have only been diagnosed as a type 3C diabetic since the end of May 2024, and I'm still learning.
Hey no problem. In my experience some health care pros side with a sensor as being “what you go on?” Some prefer the meter. (Probably because they are not up on this tech?) I’ve just done a test myself after changing a sensor, pretty bang on. But it’s always wise & doesn’t do any harm to check them both. They won’t always align due to lag between interstitial fluid & blood? But in my experience close if on the level & the sensor will give an earlier warning if going low. (In reference to using a Libre.) all the best! 🙂

I do know it’s new to them, that’s why I took the time to find links for educational resources designed especially for those new to diabetes and new to using the libre.

The only way to improve your understanding is to educate yourself, but apparently I shouldn’t have taken the time to put together some suggestions of resources to help do that. I’ll stick to short posts without resources in future.

That is exactly what I was trying to say.
Thank you Tdm

You’re going to have to be more specific for me to understand exactly what you wants to change about my response. If you don’t want me to make suggestions on how to learn more just explicitly say that. I genuinely don’t understand what these posts “explaining” are meaning in terms of what action you need me to change.

It sounds like busdriver has just been told "take ten units of insulin once a day" without ever being told that he can titrate it depending on BG readings.

I don't think you need to change anything.
I think busdriver appreciates all the information you have given.
The 'you have to understand' bit is more a turn of phrase where busdriver is explaining they are still on a learning curve and therefore doesn't yet have the level of knowledge they wish to have about their diabetes care, and perhaps feels a bit awkward about this?

I phoned 111 and was told I don't need to finger prick test as my sensor records it. I did not have a shower this morning. The high readings have been recorded sine 23 December.
Hi @Busdriver60 hope you can get everything sorted and your bloods under a good control soon
I was quite suprised to see in your post that the NHS 111 call handler advising there’s no need to FP test on your BGM now your on the CGM

I must ask, with a profile name like Busdriver
and that happy looking Bus emoji as your profile photo
do you drive ?

If so
Because your taking insulin
be sure to be following the DVLA recommendations regarding FP testing rather than relying on CGM
even if just driving the family car

Hi GoodyBags,
Thank you for understanding me, I will do all I can to putting things right, but this is only because I have realised that I need to learn from my mistakes. I gave up being a bus driver because of my condition and didn't to take the risk of having an accident while carrying passengers. I don't regret it now.
