That's interesting Rob, my DSN said wet wipes and gel are fine and I haven't noticed any great differences between readings when I use them and when I wash my hands. I'm going to try a wee experiment and do it both ways to see if there is any difference. I'll let you know.
I think it depends what is in the wet wipes. The baby wipes we have in the kitchen definitely send my readings to 15+ if I forget to wash my hands after using them.

But I've also got some hand cream for when I have dry skin, I've tested with that and my readings are identical with and without it.

OK, so wash hands, score is 10.2. Five minutes later use gel, score is:

Wait for it.... wait for it..... umm, 10.1.

I'm using either classic Wet Wipes (Citrus ones) or some hand gel I got as a threefor out of the Pound Shop.

I was told not to use hand gel or wipes as well. On my desk at work I have a box of tissues and a mini bottle of water that I use just before I test. It's worked so well for me that I have the same in my car and at home. I'd be up all day long if I had to keep getting up to wash my hands.
