I'm not pregnant but I've got a bad urge for one, I'm going to try and create one that won't send my BG through the roof. Any suggestions on recipes?

Ooh I adore Black Forest Gateaux. But I have know idea how to make a lower carb one. When you succeed could you put the recipe here.

I love Black Forest Gateau. I treated myself to one for Christmas and another for New Year, and in both cases, when it arrived I sang "Got a Black Forest Gateau..." to the tune of Black Magic Woman. 😉

I too would like the recipe for a low-carb one, if such is humanly possible.

Can't be too difficult. The cake could be made using the same recipe as the Yule Log I made. Then you have cream, which is fine. The worst bit will be the cherries, but the cream should help slow down the carbs.

Attempt One - I'll add all up shortly

Calls - 644
Carbs - 78g
Sug - 45g

I used a premade sponge just for ease today, I'll try marks Yule sponge next time. It's built up with Sponge, instead of a layer of cream I used Rachaels Organic Cherry Yoghurt (so no cherry compote and then cherries. Repeat for 3 layers then the top and whipped Emlea double cream and shavings of Green & Blacks 85% dark chocolate.
BGL before is 6.6, I'll test in an hour and then 2
