Went to an afternoon carb counting course, just got back. To be honest I found the carb counting stuff quite basic, but it was nice to meet someone else who was type 1 (there were 2 of us there) and have a chat. It was also interesting to find out that the dietician who I have met a few times is also type 1 and has a pump! She was explaining pumps to us as we were both interested. She was brilliant and I explained my blood sugar problems to her and explained that I really wanted a cgm. She went to speak to one of the nurses who deals with cgms and they agreed that I do need one asap :D This might not sound like much but I am so relieved that I was taken seriously and the dietician not only agreed with me but started the ball rolling immediately. Thanks so much to the lovely dietician 🙂

Natalie that is super news, a big Woop woop for that dietician x

That's excellent news Natalie.🙂

Hope it happens sooner rather than later.

Fantastic! Hope you get the CGM soon. Great that you had such a positive experience - hopefully you can stay in touch with the person you met.

So glad you had a positive experience, despite the actual course not being that helpful the dietitian sounds like someone to keep in contact wi.th.
