I was thinking of you all throughout the afternoon. Had intended to go but something else came up and I needed to be there. Ridiculous how you can go weeks doing very little and then two things you want to do are on the same day!

It's a shame you couldn't make it Marg, but I hope you will be able to make the Manchester one in November as I would love to meet you 🙂

I didn't know there was one in Manchester in November! Just had a look at the events board and there is nothing there so who knows the details??

Only just managed to get spare few mins to post! What with car troubles, internet trouble, speeding camera troubles! Argh and a 1.9 upon waking!

Thanks for the photos! Even if I do look Grade A awful! LOL! It was lovely to meet peeps for the first time and I didn't realise until Alan mentioned, how far people had come, amazing! Such ashame that more people from upon the midlands doorsteps couldn't make it whilst the opportunity was there! I genuinely thought it would be the scariest thing to do in the world, but actually, after 5mins, it felt the most natural thing in the world and not all conversations were about the big D!

Thanks Monica and Jenny for the pump demo, and Amanda for the CGM one too!!!! Sooooooo interesting! (the pumps Jenny, not the pants! LOL!!!)

I suppose a thanks to the pub too who put up with us rowdy lot for the day!

Can't wait to come to some more meetings, will try the London and make a w/end of it with other half and also the Manc one is not too far away although I had a really scary car crash on way into Manc on M62 2 years ago so maybe the train for me...

Glad to hear you enjoyed it Suze, it was lovely to meet you 🙂 Those initial couple of minutes can be scary, but everyone is so friendly and it's as if you already know them anyway! I hope to see you again in London and perhaps Manchester too! 🙂

Of course Alan! Gotta make it for the birthday bash...do we get cake? :D

Here's another picture, courtesy of Richard and an obliging policeman 🙂

Carol, Carol's friend, trophywench, Richard, Tez and Monica:

They were really friendly weren't they? Must make a change for em to meet happy people instead of rampaging yobbos LOL

Wow, what wonderful photos, you all looked as though you had a wonderful time :D Sheena

LOL, it took me a while to realise who you meant with "they"😱

Yeah, a happy hoody, that's me!😉

It's a good photo and I love it that Carol for once has a pretty smile on her face. Normally, when anyone takes a photo, she pulls funny faces and thus ruins most of the photos :(

Aw bless! It is a good photo and Carol is so striking! Very pretty girl! And pleasant too so well done to you mum!

I take it that the photo was when Jenny was giving you the 'alternative' sight seeing tour of Bham city centre? Fraid I was wearing heels so decided for the shortcut with Alan & Nat!!!!:D

Ah well, no Suze - because my alternative route would have run out at Symphony Hall but Richard knew we could get down onto the towpath from a bit further along Broad Street and walk along the cut to the pub, so it was the detour off the alternative route.

And I think it's fair to say - as my father did every ime we got a bit lost between A and B - that we really did go "the pretty way" !

PS 'cut' = Black Country for 'canal'.

It was the healthy detour route too - we walked rather than take the water bus!

Richard

I'm so jealous and so sad I couldn't be there to meet you all.
So many questions.......not enough answers lol

I shall certainly try and get to one. I was so disappointed not be able to go to this one.
