Just abit of advise... my bg before lunch was 3.6 today which is about normal for me...always high 3's low 4's before meals, 2 hours post lunch of veg soup which I'm normally alright with and two oranges I'm at 8.2.... I'm blaming the oranges but I'm not overly concerned with the figure but is the jump from 3's to 8's too much....

Yes it's a tad high Becky. I aim for no more than a 2.5 to 3 increase. You seem awfully low to start with. Perhaps increase your morning intake to level things off more because below 4 isn't ideal and you may need your nutrients spread out more. I couldnt eat 2 oranges at once without spiking. Maybe have 1 at each meal and see if it helps.

Yeah I seem to fall very low before meals, i don't snack between meals as weight too lose. Seem not to be having any hypos now though so I'm hoping I'm slowly getting there

I think you might benefit from the little and often way of eating to stop sudden spikes Becky. Doesn't mean you have to eat calorific food, just spread the load a bit because it's the sudden spikes that do the damage.
However, you're doing great and still within NICE guidelines except for the difference between pre and post levels.
