Hi all

Best waking numbers I've had in the morning since May and would love to know what I've done right! My waking BG has nearly always been between 6 and 6.4 but this morning my reading was 5.1!. Could it be the couple of glasses of red I drank watching X Factor (this hasn't worked before!), the small chunk of cheese I ate before bed (after having the nibbles after the wine!) or the infamous cauli rice which replaced my pasta with my bolognese?!!

Any thoughts as I'd love a repeat performance!

Excellent Katie! I would say it's a combination of all those factors - alcohol slows the liver's production of glucose overnight (depending how much you have!), the cheese will also have prevented your liver going into 'hunger mode', and the cauli rice will have put less of a carbohydrate load on your pancreas! 🙂 Hopefully you will find other combinations that work just as well! 🙂

Brilliant results Katie, well done

Well done Katie - it can be done xx🙂
