Hi All,

A quick hello from me. I'm ain my 50's live in Berkshi9re and was diagnosed DM2 about 2006.

I've decided I need to stop being a fool by ignoring the considtion and have joined the forum as one of the steps to proactively "own" my situation.

Looking forwardd to many interactions in the future!

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum 🙂 How are things going for you? Are you on any medication for your diabetes? Please let us know if there is any way we can help, you sound determined to get a grip on things 🙂

Welcome Mike. There is plenty of help available on here.
Do you have any specific aspects that you are keen to sort out.

Hi and thanks for the Welcome.

Since posting here I've had a review and my kidney function seems to have dropped. Had anew blood test and it had improved a bit, but I also had a CT scan on the kidneys and there is something on the right kidney, either a cycte or a tumour. Ultrasound scan next week.

This may or may not be DM related, but I'm honestly petrified now.

I've gone from resolve to sort out lifestyle to a completely different, frightening place.

It is good that they are sorting this out for you.
Just take things step by step

Hi!

You say 'it' had improved, do you mean your HbA1c by that? Purely to assess how much assistance that result needs - what is it?

What are you doing, already, to help yourself diet, exercise, medication ...what?
