Help! i've just won one of these on the internet so wanted to know if they are good or bad. Also are they easy to use?

my nurse has just given me one of these, i haven't tried it out yet but its nice and compact and looks fairly straightforward, you can either charge it up direct from your computer or with a separate wall charger. other than that i cant tell you much i'm afraid
 
These were very popular amongst our members a while ago - nice and compact with a clear display and the ability to plug straight into your computer to upload data rather than having to use some pernickety cable or infra-red device 🙂

I have one but I didn't know you could link it to your pump! I loved mine and would like to use it with my Medtronic Veo. Is your pump a medtronic or do you have a different one?
 
Yes Medtronic722 ! Meter needs to be contour LINK. Much less to do when bolusing. Your head gets filled with numbers & have punched in what my bg was hours ago (then remembered !) Would recomend 🙂
 
Ahhh ok! Will have a look to see if mine is a Link! I loved my USB, so chuffed! If its not a link I'll get another :D
 
I have used my Contour USB for over a month.

Excellent , link it up to my mac, produces reports, has a very clear screen, can produce 7/14/30 day averages, is compact, it was worth every penny, when you consider that with the meter you get a drum of strips.

Go for it.🙂
 
had mine since March 2010, and generally very good, I try and charge it up through my pc once a month or so, and download the readings, and I produce a 2 page report of that months readings, I don't sit and analyse every month but I do print them of so when I do want to I can.

My wall charger never arrived and I never chased it up!

A week ago I had an error message looking like the software was playing games, but I forced it to sort it self out.

But yes all in all worth it.

I used to love my USB meter but in the end I went with the Contour Link meter as well because of the pump connection.
