If I wanted to do a basal test from midday today is it best to have no lunch or could I have a carb free lunch?

Personally I would have no lunch as protein is converted to glucose at approx 50% the rate that carbs are.
Same here. Protein definitely raises my blood sugar.

Thsnk you. Going to have to try again next week as I just had a low that took 45 minutes to get up. I am going to go high as I totally panicked and had far far too much to treat it. I am not used to lower numbers when I inject for my breakfast and must have totally got it wrong.
When I do the basal test I will totally skip a meal, thank you.
