Bakewell slices are probably my Desert Island cake/pudding of choice (if you could only take one to have).

A good bakewell tart is an absolute joy. 😛

Bakewell slices this week, minus the jam layer. Just of 2g carbs per slice.View attachment 20316
Now i am drooling, my favourite! and i been trying to be really very good, after that mince pie recipe (i may of gone overboard with that) at christmas!
if you want a jam layer i have found clearspring strawberry spread quite good, for carb count it's 35 carbs per 100g,
i do like seeing your monday bakes, you've become a right pro, well done
🙂

Thank you all for your kind comments, For the recipe, I used the pecan frangipane one on sugarfreelondoners website but swapped the pecans for almonds and the cinnamon etc for a few drops of Bakewell tart flavouring from Amazon and put a teaspoon of almond essence in the pastry.
