Woke today 3 am feeling really sick . Sat in the bathroom for an hour till I was sick . Then tested my blood .lowest reading fir ages 1.9 .. not good . Jelly beans and coke time me thinks :(

Have I got this right? You woke up at 3am feeling sick, then wait an hour before being sick and either eating any sugar or testing you blood sugar? A few jelly babies a bit earlier might have prevented vomiting and meant more sleep. Incidently, while full sugar coke is good for treating hypos, as it contains caffeine, it's not good for getting back to sleep.

Hope you wake up feeling better after enough sleep.

hope you feel better and have had enough sleep.

Oh dear Darren, hope you feel better this morning.

Oh Darren. Why didn't you test as soon as you woke up feeling sick. I always test if I wake up feeling off. If you had tested you could have corrected your low, probably without being sick. Please, always test if you are not sure. I hope you feel much better now.

Being sick always drops my blood sugar too so you probably weren't that low when you awoke. Low blood sugars seem to be making me feel sick in this hot weather, always worth testing anyway if you feel off. Hope you are much better now.

I think I would of done the same as Darren and not tested on feeling sick. I have never felt sick as a hypo symptom, however had I of been sick I'd of tested then. I always thought feeling sick was associated with very high keytones.

I don't get many symptoms of hypo's anymore though, I can be at 2 or 1.9 on occasion, with only the tiniest suspicion something is up (or down!!) and its that feeling that I can't explain, to me its like having a sixth sense, a feeling that you can't describe.
