Bad onmipod batch

Good afternoon everyone!

Iv had an re order of onmipods delivered and pretty much 7 out of 10 have had issue with the canals falling out. Into the second box and the same issues are occurring. Iv logged all of them and got replacements on the way but it’s not good/ fun to be high for long periods of time everyday because of failing pods.

Has anyone had the same experience and what did you do?

Thanks;

Sam

Which insulin do you use? Fiasp can cause what they call "tunnelling" particularly with large boluses, which means the insulin tracks back up the outside of the cannula to the surface under the pod instead of being absorbed. Is the site under the pod wet with insulin when you remove it?

Which pods? I moved over to the Omnipod 5 dash on 10th Dec, I have had 1 screamer, 2 that won't connect to the libre sensor and 2 bad cannulas / leaks.
They keep suggesting their pump patches, but they cost more than others, and actually their product should work. The pods are going on clean, dry normal skin so no reason they don't work from a user side.

Struggle to understand how so many cannula have become dislodged, are you catching pods on something or placing them on folds of skin or something?

Cleaning skin thoroughly as @PhoebeC says above helps pod adhesion.

It’s funny you should say this, we’ve had at least 3 go the same way over the last few weeks. All located on the belly and all prepared the same way as usual. Just assumed Jo was being a bit lively but she dives about all day everyday anyway and we’ve never had this issue before.

I have never had an issue with them on my arm before, that was the one that just bent out of place. The quality of the Omnipod 5 so far for me has been awful.
