I dunno what to do...take pills, what?! This is rubbish, I'm having no help from any medical person with it really, doc don't seem to care. Feeling very down. Not had it this bad in a while

Have you tried a TENS machine? I find it works well for neuropathy - you need to keep it on for a good while, but there is not ill effect of doing so.

As neuropathy isn't in your limb, it's in your spinal cord (took me a lot of neurologists and other docs over the years to finally discover that gem from the specialist at the pain clinic) you can treat the pain in the lower back with the pads, rather than the feet themselves - less wiring problems too.

Essentially for pain control it works by 'confusing' the pain signals passing to your brain, thus removing or reducing the pain sensation arriving at your brain. It also then releases some drugs into your body which better enables you to manage pain - I couldn't lip read it, something about orphans - or sounds like that any way!

Most pain clinics have a trial scheme from one of the distributors where you can try for a month before you either send the unit back or send them a cheque for the unit. You need a dual channel, dual control unit. And if your hospitals pain clinic uses the same company as mine did, send the unit back and buy one online for a lot less - don't forget to complete the VAT exemption form, saves you 15 or 17.5% from 1st Jan 2010.

For the electrodes go to ebay. There are some good deals there.

Even if it's on for long periods of the day, it's better than pumping your body full of pills!

It amazes me that people can do lip reading at all. It's quite an accomplishment I reckon. I'm impressed.
